American Printer Service, Inc. - Refund Policy Terms And Conditions
 
American Printer Service, Inc. is a business with the mentality that ethics play a vital part of any business venture. We have used this policy as the foundation for building our business. Unfortunately, we realize that not all businesses share this mentality. Following is the obligatory 'legalese' of our Refund Policy. In short, our Refund Policy is clear... if you purchase goods or services from our business and are not completely satisfied, we will do everything within our power to 'make it right' with you, whether that's replacing the product or refunding your purchase. However, we also believe it is a poor business practice to allow oneself to be continually taken advantage of and so, in order to protect our interests, we have taken the following stances regarding our Refund Policy.
TERMS
DEFECTIVE
We consider a cartridge 'defective' (described as DOA) if upon proper unpacking and correct installation into a working unit (printer) by the consumer, purchaser, or a person acting on behalf of either, the cartridge fails to work as was it was originally intended [to work]. A cartridge may also become 'defective' if upon proper usage, a faulty manufactured part causes the cartridge to cease working in any way other than the way it was originally intended.
A cartridge may not be considered 'defective' for the purposes of replacement or refund if the purchaser or a person acting on behalf of the purchaser has incorrectly handled the cartridge. This includes but is not limited to: dropping, shaking, forcefully inserting, or forcefully removing the cartridge. This also includes the spillage of any liquid (whether by accident or otherwise) or insertion of any foreign object into or on the cartridge which results in the cartridge ceasing to work as originally intended. Any such abuse, whether proven or otherwise, may absolve American Printer Service, Inc. of its responsibilities to provide you with a replacement or refund for your unit. American Printer Service, Inc. reserves the right, at its discretion, to conduct or not conduct business with those persons, businesses, or entities which it feels are using its Refund Policy to acquire uncompensated products, services, or support.
100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
The term '100% Satisfaction Guarantee' denotes American Printer Service, Inc.'s desire to provide all its customers with the ability to resolve disputes regarding products or services purchased to the satisfaction of all parties involved. American Printer Service, Inc. realizes that this term is broad in scope and that it cannot unequivocally provide '100% Satisfaction' to those persons, business, or entities which seek to find fault with its practices. This term is used as a marketing tool to provide its customers with the knowledge that American Printer Service, Inc. will act efficiently and reasonably to resolve any disputes on behalf of its customers in accordance to its stated Refund Policy. American Printer Service, Inc. reserves the right, at its discretion, to suspend or revoke its stated Refund Policy at any time if it feels such action to be necessary in protecting its own interests and assets, including but not limited to, employees, goods, services, property both intellectual and physical, and reputation.
RESELLER
For the purposes of this site, a 'Reseller' is any person, business, or entity, having purchased goods, products, or services, from American Printer Service, Inc. sells those goods, products, or services to any other person, business, or entity for gain, either financial or otherwise. American Printer Service, Inc. is in the business of retail sales. This means that all goods, products, or services offered to its customers are offered with the sole purpose of being used by the purchaser or an agent therof. If the purchaser chooses to become a reseller, the reseller absolves American Printer Service, Inc. of any further responsibility regarding its goods or products at the time of sale in perpetuity. The Reseller also agrees to remove any identifying features that would indentify American Printer Service, Inc. to the Reseller's customers including stickers and logos. In the event the Reseller's customers contact American Printer Service, Inc. for replacement or refund of a defective product, they will be referred to the Reseller. By reselling product purchased from American Printer Service, Inc. you agree to compensate American Printer Service, Inc. in its entirety of any and all costs incurred while it acts to rectify disputes between itself and [the Reseller's] the customer. This includes but is not limited to, costs related to replacing the product, refunding a purchase, shipping/handling fees, and any legal fees.
CONDITIONS
It is the practice of American Printer Service, Inc. to extend all its customers the 'benefit of the doubt' in regards to returns and refunds. We have thoroughly researched and tested our toner cartridges and believe that we are selling a quality product with an extremely low failure rate. However, we also realize that factory defects are an inevitable part of selling any retail item. As stated in our Refund Policy, we are committed to resolving all disputes to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to not issue refunds or replacements as stated in our Refund Policy if we feel our business practices are being taken advantage of by the purchaser of goods, products, or services.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to not issue refunds or replacements as stated in our Return Policy if the purchaser or an agent of the purchaser's business has modified the unit in any way. We are in the business of selling technology that is designed to work properly without being modified.
Most products we sell have an indefinite shelf-life when stored and/or cared for properly. Our recommendations for the storage and maintenance of our toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges can be found HERE. We reserve the right, at our discretion to not issue refunds or replacements as stated in our Refund Policy if the purchaser has stored product purchased from American Printer Service, Inc. in conditions generally considered as a 'harsh' environment. This includes, but is not limited to: direct sunlight, excessive cold, excessive heat, excessive humidity, areas where chemicals or solvents are stored or used, and the storage of product not packaged in its original airtight packaging. American Printer Service, Inc. reserves the right, at its discretion, to not issue refunds or replacements for product stored by the purchaser or agent thereof for an amount of time exceeding 6 months from the time of purchase.
American Printer Service, Inc. cannot be held responsible for losses of product incurred by the purchaser or agent thereof due to any natural disaster, including flood, earthquake, tornado, hurricane, tsunami, and lightning.
American Printer Service, Inc. agrees that changes made to its stated Refund Policy will be posted as an 'Updated On: [Date] insert on the main page of the Refund Policy. It is the responsibility of the purchaser or agent thereof to check this document for changes before making a purchase.
